Carolina Molea grew up in Caracas, Venezuela, surrounded by the delicious aromas of homemade breads and desserts. Her love for baking started when she was just 5 years old, under the tutelage of her grandmother, Julia. “I remember baking cookies to sell to my friends with the help of my grandmother!” Having always enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, when Carolina moved to Miami with her family, she attended Le Cordon Bleu culinary school to pursue her passion as a career.

 

After graduating and working for hotels and restaurants in the Miami area, her love of animals and choice of living a vegan lifestyle led her to open her own shop, L’Artisane Creative Bakery, in March 2018. “I wanted to offer options that were both delicious and beautiful, like the ones in regular pastry shops,” she says, “but without the use of animal-derived ingredients.”. L’ArtisaneCreative Bakery is the first vegan French-inspired bakery in the United States, they won Best Croissant MIAMI 2018, Miami New Times' Best Croissant 2019 and Miami Beach Hispanic Heritage Award in the Business category 2020.
