Have Plant-Based Meals Delivered to Your Doorstep Via UberEats Miami
Eating plant-based in South Florida is easier than ever with UberEats Miami. The service — which lets users order lunch and dinner delivery via Uber drivers — just launched in a bunch of cities all over the world, including Miami and some parts of Broward County.
Lots of local eateries are in on the delivery action, and many offer plant-based and vegan selections.
Take Della Bowls, for example. The popular Miami spot — and vendor at Seed Food & Wine Fest in November — is offering its entire menu via UberEats. Selections include five house favorite bowls like the dalé with brown rice, chipotle tofu, refried black beans, cashew queso, kale, pico de gallo, pepitas, and verde sauce; and the mediterranean, with brown rice, chickpeas, sweet potatoes, kale, raw roots, hummus, and orange sauce.
More than 100 local restaurants are participating, and many others offer veg-friendly options via UberEats Miami. Zuuk Mediterranean, Organic Bites, Juice & Java and Full Bloom Vegan, among others.
For those who are looking to transition to a vegan diet or just add more plant-based foods to their repertoire, door-to-door deliciousness can make life a lot easier. Delivery is available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight, but service varies based on each restaurant’s hours of operation.
Lots of spots in Broward County are on board, too. Another Seed vendor, Hollywood’s Atlas Meat-Free Deli, is offering delivery via UberEats from Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its menu is available in the greater Hollywood area.
It’s important to note that UberEats app is a separate app. Once users download it and enter credit card info, restaurants are sorted by delivery time. Select an eatery, and its menu pops up.
The delivery fee is a flat $4.99, and, unlike Uber, there is no surge pricing. In addition, menu prices are the same as they are at each restaurant — and, like Uber, there's no need to tip your driver. Having food arrive hassle-free is totally worth $5.
Basically, UberEats is the best thing to happen to dinnertime convenience since microwave ovens.
