Miley Cyrus Proves That the Future of Fashion Is Vegan
Miley Cyrus is basically our hero. The gorgeous activist slash actress slash singer slash all-around amazing human being recently made headlines for speaking out at the recent Met Gala on behalf of vegan fashion.
The theme of the night's festivities was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” and Miley donned a backless black halter gown by Paul McCartney's designer daughter Stella McCartney -- known for her epic cruelty-free ensembles.
To accentuate her outfit, MINK designed Miley a pair of black pumps adorned with gold crosses.
The best part of the evening, of course, was when Miley told Vogue: “I’m here, so excited to be a part of this because I think this moment can be about so many different things and for me, I want to bring a message, which is veganism and that there doesn’t have to be torture in fabulous fashion.”
Miley is SPOT ON, and she's setting the stage for Seed's upcoming Fashion + Art Show on Wednesday, May 23rd. The cruelty-free, all-vegan lineup will be hosted by famed artist Le Fou, Jacky Wasserman, Sica Schmitz, & Taryn Rasgon.
Celebs and models will make their way down the runway in two separate shows showcasing both bohemian, casual garb (including beachwear) upscale, haute couture attire. Brands on hand will include BeetxBeet, Vegetaryn, Beed & Reel, MooShoes, Bhava, Maven Women, Toko Toko, Delikate Rayne, and Groceries Apparel.
While you're watching everyone strut their stuff (as you ponder what to buy), you can enjoy mouthwatering craft cocktails (complimentary) and light vegan bites.
Two world-famous street artists — including Constantine from Vegan Club — will be on site doing some live art. It's all going down at Los Angeles' famous venue: The Roxy, at 9009 Sunset Blvd. Tickets are only $35, and now's the time to score some before they sell out!
