Miami's Food Halls Are Full of Plant-Based Delights
Food halls are the hottest new trend to hit the culinary world. They're popping up all over the place, and Miami is home to some of the best and most notable in the nation.
Best of all, the Magic City has the world's first-ever all-vegan food hall, vShops! If you're looking to explore different cuisines, all while sticking to a plant-based diet, Miami has everything to offer.
At the vShops, all of the vendors are 100% plant-based, and there are currently three different places for eager eaters to choose from (with more vendors to come).
Right now, the spot features Choices Cafe, with a menu of bowls, burgers, wraps, and other good-for-you goodies; Neo's Blender, a smoothie spot that's super kid-friendly; and Next Generation Pizza, a mouthwatering pie spot with totally unique offerings like the Blue Magic, a pizza topped with ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, blueberries, and caramelized onions.
Then there's St. Roch Market, an upscale hall that's located in Miami's posh Design District. It features an array of food styles, from Mediterranean to Asian to sweet treats.
Plant-based options from the different locations include a Bahn Mi from Tran; mushroom ramen from Yuzu; the Tigre and the Kyoto rolls from Itamae; and homemade hummus with Israeli salad and pickles from Jaffa. Plus, there's Chef Chloe and the Vegan Cafe, a fully vegan dessert spot that offers cookies, cupcakes, cakes, and more.
There's also Jackson Hall, a health-oriented food hall in Miami's medical district from the folks behind Wynwood Yard. This hall offers six vendor concepts, and there are plenty of tasty plant-based choices to try.
These include the Southwest Bowl from della bowls, the Strawberry Fields and Italian Job salads from Leo + Bloom Delicatessen, the roasted veggie kabob platter from Levante, and the Big Shrooma Bowl from Little Island Poke.
When you come to town for Seed Food & Wine Week in November, make sure you schedule enough time to try these amazing options and explore the city's rapidly expanding food hall scene!
