8 Can't-Miss Meals for Seed Restaurant Week


We're mid-way into Seed Restaurant Week, which means you have about 10 days left to eat your way through South Florida's most outstanding plant-based dishes!

With 20+ restaurants participating in restaurant week -- from casual juice spots to sit-down dinner locales -- there are tons of options to choose from.

We can vouch for the fact that every single dish is delicious, but to get your to-do list started, we wanted to highlight a few! Prices are $18 for lunch at fast casual spots, $26 for dinner; $22 for lunch at fine dining spots, $36 for dinner.

So, here are eight can't-miss meals for Seed Restaurant Week. Bon appetit!

Holi Vegan Kitchen (casual): This popular North Miami Beach eatery is open for lunch and dinner for restaurant week, so you have plenty of choices, with multiple menus. For dinner, you can dig into a tapenade appetizer, lentil bolognese penne pasta as a main course, and finish up with a double chocolate brownie with ice cream.

Vgan Kitchen (fine dining): Opt into dinner at this chic Aventura spot. Begin your evening with delicious stuffed endives featuring vegan salmon and chive almond cream cheese. Follow it up with crispy cauliflower pizza and as a sweet ending: lemon goji truffles.

Manna Life Food (casual): If you're in the downtown area, Manna's bright, colorful foods are an excellent choice. Start with iced ginger tea and a cup of soup -- Moroccan lentil or carrot basil. Then, enjoy a warm, satisfying Middle Eastern superfood arepa and a "bliss ball."

The vShops (casual): As the world's only vegan food hall, Coconut Grove's The vShops is a unique place. With different concepts serving different cuisines, you can try several! Start off with a sampler tray featuring chickpea tuna, guacamole, soy chorizo, and tortilla chips. Follow it with a comfort plate including BBQ meat, collard greens, grits, coleslaw, baked beans, and remoulade sauce -- and end with ice cream.

Soul Tavern (fine dining): This swanky all-veg gastropub features an array of options, from hummus to tacos to pizza -- depending on whether you go for lunch or dinner. Stop by for an evening meal and have the edamame hummus with pickled relish and house made chips, the mouthwatering eggplant medallion with seasonal ratatouille, and the the guava cheesecake.

Planta South Beach (fine dining): This celebrity-studded spot has an extensive menu of creative, plant-based cuisine. Get started with steamed dumplings stuffed with avocado smash, citrus soy, cilantro, and jicama; try the Planta burger with queso, dill pickles, tomato, lettuce, mustard, chipotle aioli, and tajin fries; and finish with avocado lime cheesecake.

Love Life Cafe (casual): The previous winner of Seed's Plant Based Burger Battle, Love Life now has its own standalone cafe in Wynwood. Pop in and chow down on the artichoke empanada as a starter. Next, try the verde pizza with cashew cream, spinach, basil-pesto, and "parm" crumble. And finish with vanilla gelato. Yum!

Plant Miami (fine dining): Set inside Wynwood's stunning Sacred Space, this eatery offers a lovely mix of raw and cooked plant-based dishes. Enjoy a hummus tostada with Za'atar sprouted hummus, shaved veggies, and dill; Thai papaya salad with cucumber, bell peppers, golden tomatoes, sesame sunflowers seeds, basil, and sesame ginger dressing; followed by almond panna cotta.
